gay marriage debate - Who puts away the anti-gay marriage law?

The New York Times published a short article on defense of marriage law was passed in 1996. The law says that states do not give the same privileges to same-sex couples, even if in a state that marriage is legally married. President Obama is asking Congress to repeal this law.

How can you tell if a law is a violation of human rights? What do human rights and violation of California Prop 8 a person, the basic human rights? At the momentState of California to resolve this issue, the post will be thrown up for Proposition 8.

The Supreme Court of California heard arguments in the case of gay marriage for both parties and decided not to turn this new law, but decided to flip, not more than 18,000 marriages performed in the State.

But those who support gay marriage has not silenced by this rule. In fact, they consider their strong convictions and are still in the process of a new votethe question that could change the previous vote.

Those who claim the debate is not a religious no attention to the ongoing debate going on in our nation. Pageant candidate Carrie Prejean was put to light, was his infamous speech at the Miss USA on their views on gay marriage. Said that God does not want to marry a man with another man, which goes against their Christian beliefs to support gay marriage. Namelyobviously a religious perspective on the problem.

I had this argument before, and I will do yet. The value we attach to the word "marriage" is too powerful. Homosexuality is not something new for the 21st Century, but Americans continue to behave as if it is. The issue of gay marriage is expensive for many people for different reasons depending on which side of the island rise. This topic is very sensitive, so many people.

Take a moment and look to the side, because gayMarriage is so important. The United States has been limited to the actual one-way same-sex couples and couples move. Do not have the simple right to visit their loved one when the other is sick in a hospital. The hospital has the right to say no.

The United States sees itself as a progressive society, we went to limit the creation of rights of others. In particular segregation. The idea of separate but equal was away to people, because they open their eyes and madeclear that was not the same. White, then do not look like African-Americans as equal citizens, and in many states and countries that still do not. But the heart of Brown v. Board of Education was trying to create a society were enriching each other and learning together, I know That all may have the Same basic rights.

We, of course, equality, not just African-Americans, but now we have a new group of people brought into the mix. The idea of a Union Civil vsMarriage is fundamentally the issue as a "separate but equal during the civil rights movement. Its completely separate and not all the same.

Many argue that marriage was intended for reproduction, why she is against gay marriage. But the marriage of the 21 Century is not procreation, many couples decided to get married but have children or people who have chosen to marry and never have kids. If these people are not allowed to get married because their marriage is contrary to receivedDefinition of marriage?

People do not always think of the history of marriage, but not so long ago, and this rate continues in many countries people are not their partners. Their marriages were arranged. Love has never been a part of their decision-making process, the probability of pure children. But today we can get married now in the elections and we must choose if we want to stay married to that person.

Laws should be created to protect people, not be excluded. Who are we protecting if the company says, two people who can not love each other marry that gay marriage should be illegal? Who are we protecting when we say, can have civil unions vs. marriage? Why?
